Sign Up as a Vendor with ClickBank

For years ebooks have become ever increasing sources of, well, almost any kind of information you can think of.  Composed of fiction or non-fiction, ebooks are really just digital versions of a ‘book’ on the web.

These days, DIY or ‘Do it Yourself’ ebooks have become all the rage.  With subjects ranging from ‘How to setup an Aquarium’ to ‘10 Great Golf Tips’ - ebooks are digitally downloaded versions of books (usually PDFs - although some entire websites are setup as an ebook) that are downloaded by internet users tens of thousands of times a day.

Here are the basic steps to getting an ebook online and available for sale (the ultimate goal of most e’authors’).

Step 1:  Your ‘to do’ list - Create your e-book.  Make sure your ebook appears professional.

Step 2:  Your ‘to do’ list - Sign up for ClickBank as a Vendor.  ClickBank is the most popular way of publishing and selling an ebook online.  ClickBank reviews all submissions first, and once your ebook is accepted, charges very little for the great features they provide.  The service has a one-time setup fee for your first ebook product of $49.95 (if you write and want to sell a second ebook - additional ebooks are only a one-time fee of $29.95 beyond that).  ClickBank also collects a very small commission on each sale as part of the service (a very small percentage overall).  The service tracks your sales, and helps you easily refund purchases.  The best part of being a Vendor with ClickBank however, is the huge advantage you gain in being able to allow other ClickBank ‘Affiliates’ to resell your ebook for you (this is tremendous in terms of reaching a much larger web audience than you or your website alone could reach).  ClickBank tracks affiliates commissions and sales and you just get to collect a check - not much easier than that!

cooperativeADventures - * (Step 2 if you do not already have a website) Each ClickBank account requires that you sell your ebook item from your own website - for these purposes coopADventures is here to setup your website and domain with ease.  Cooperative ADvertising Ventures hosting fees are $15/month for a basic account and Domain Names are $20/year - ClickBank requires you own your own domain name and not something such as  http://yourname.blogspot.com 

Step 3:  Your ‘to do’ list - Is your website created? and ready to sell your ebook on? If you need help adding your ebook to your website, just let us know.  At the minimum, ClickBank requires 1 sales pitch page (where you sell the ebook product) and 1 Thank You (payment completed) page.

Step 4:  Your ‘to do’ list - Follow your orders and support customers. Once your site is setup, and connected to ClickBank, and your orders are coming in, you should track your orders  and provide basic support if customers have return requests etc.  - ClickBank makes this process very painless, and can even help you improve your overall requests for return etc.
